These days,
I cannot eat, or sleep, or just sit down. A voice keeps calling me “Come! Come!!”
It is the
voice of ‘MMM’.
If you live
in Nigeria, or you are Nigerian, or you are married to a Nigerian (home or
abroad), the chances are great that you would be aware that this is presently
the singular most popular three-letter word in Nigeria.
I guess it's supposed
to be a 'funny' meme. (Maybe not??)
Anyway, it got me
wondering whether being in my twenties really had more advantage than being in
my thirties.
The one thing I surely
(and sorely!) miss about the 'twenty-somethings' was being able to eat a
pregnant whale at any time of the day, and watch the calories melt at their
accord, without as much as twenty minutes at the gym. Unlike the thirties,
where I subject myself to only grass and fat-free everything, yet, seem to pack
on the pounds from just drinking water and inhaling air.
Today, I say the inverse: which is that not every good thing is
an entirely good thing. Or, rather, some things done or said wit good intentions,
may not be an entirely “good” thing.
