*Peeps out from pile of 2023 work,
like a mountain*
I have a question... when is the right
time to stop wishing "Happy New Year"? Is it the day after New Year's
Day? The 10th of January? Or till February sets in?
For me, I'll keep wishing Happy New Year
- if we haven't seen/spoken in the New Year - till about June.
So HAPPPPYY NEWWWW YEARRRRRRR!!! And hope
you enjoyed the holidays?
(I did, surrounded by lots of
adorable, little humans). 😊
The interesting thing about hanging
around young children and toddlers is that you quickly become invested in what
they are invested in.
Like Peppa Pig... which has now become a
staple in my life.
Which is why I screamed in horror at
that episode where Ms. Peppa and her whole family were having BACON for
breakfast.
(What in the Hannibal Lecter were the
writers thinking??)
Other than that slightly disconcerting
occurrence, I find Peppa Pig the absolute best; I'm often glued with popcorn,
watching the episodes, and giggling with my tiny humans.
Recently, we watched an episode where
Ms. Peppa was talking about her New Year Resolutions, and it took me back to
that the time when New Year Resolutions were a must have.
Are they still a thing? Do you have New
Year Resolutions for 2023? How are they panning out??
I can't remember when last I made New
Year Resolutions, to be honest. I don't wait for the new year to resolve to do
or abstain from something.
I've also learnt not to put myself under
that unnecessary pressure. Rather, I have aspirations for the year, call them
goals of you like.
But I also understand that life happens
sometimes, and even the best laid plans could fall through.
Now, I go into every new year, ready to take
each day as it comes; with lots of hope for my aspirations in the new year, while
prepared to adapt to what each day unfolds.
So whether you entered 2023 with
Resolutions, aspirations or goals, my prayer for you is that your desires for
this year come to pass, with the least stress possible.
Have an amazing 2023!
Paz,
Meg.
