What in the Hate-Speech Misogynoir is going on in the United Kingdom?
With barely three days to Christmas, I should be writing about red dresses and holiday brunches. Of roasted chickens and holiday songs.
But it appears the UK Media has FINALLY gone over the rails in its targeted press bullying, and the world can no longer stay on the sidelines.
You see, when the whole Royal Family/Harry/Meghan drama started, I was hesitant - as I am sure many other innocent bystanders were - to wade in. I mean... families are complicated. This will blow over, we all thought.
But we - I mean the world - we have witnessed in numb shock the continued, unrelenting haranguing of our good sis Meghan and her hubby Harry, to the point of them fearing for their lives, as they have shown in their new documentary.
Those of us old enough to remember the Diana era, who bawled at her demise, while Elton John's Candle in the Wind mournfully played in the background, recognize the eerily similar hounding she suffered from the paparazzi, leading up to her death.
What the UK media is doing to Meghan has crossed hounding, gone past misogynoir and appears to be an active attempt to ensure that her demise is own sure. A modern-day real-life mobbing, if you may,
aimed at inciting hate and violence against this woman, whom all she really did was fall in love.
We have witnessed the spiraling obsession of Mr. Piers Morgan, British broadcaster and tv personality, with quite a sizable following, who pivoted from being Megan's praise-singer to unrelenting nagging and verbal abuse of her and her family, unprovoked.
The latest in this onslaught of verbal violence and hate incitement against Meghan is an article by Jeremy Clarkson, yet another British broadcaster, who earlier this week, wrote an an entire article insulting Meghan and Harry. The most disturbing and despicable part of that article however, remains his documenting his nightly fantasies, of seeing Meghan walk around naked, while human excrement is hurled at her.

What makes all of these even more worrisome is that these people leading the pack in Meghan's mobbing, were in the same week in a lunch with Meghan’s own step-mother-in-law and the Queen Consort, who so happens to - wait for it - be leading a campaign denouncing violence against women.
No, I'm not making this up.
In Africa, we have a saying that s/he who the gods want to destroy, they first make mad.
At this point, it almost seems as though the monarchy is hell-bent on a self-destructive path of bringing itself down. Otherwise, why would you be publicly consort with pro-violence against women merchants for the world to see, while claiming to be involved in a anti-violence against women initiatives?
There is nothing pro-woman about what the UK Media is doing to Meghan, and raking billions of dollars off hate directed at one person.
There is nothing pro-woman about the monarchy sending a clear message, that these actions will be condoned, if not even sanctioned.
If there is anything to be happy about in all of these, it is the fact that women (and even men) all over the world are finally speaking up in unison against this anachronistic and medieval witch-hunting of a mixed-race woman. No woman, or person, should be subject to this, and we all are taking this stand with Meghan.
If anyone close to Meghan is able to let her see anything written, let her know this: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. WE STAND WITH YOU.
Paz,
Meg.
